The owners, Stu & Erandi, split their time between Australia and Erandi’s native Sri Lanka. The Villa is a culmination of a dream to build a place where family, friends and guests can enjoy the delights of Sri Lanka’s south coast in absolute luxury and safety. Our team is now part of our family and you will be treated as family as well.

The building and furnishings were a culmination of years of work scouring the country for inspiration including antique building materials, furnishings and artworks  with the help of our architect, Nuwan Gayanath.

Boutique Bespoke Experience

From the time of booking you will be dealing with the owners, Stu & Erandi, who share their time between their home in Australia and Erandi’s native Sri Lanka. Having been born  a few kilometres from the Villa at Unawatuna, Erandi’s local knowledge , family and contacts will set your experience apart from anything else on offer. Nothing is too much trouble for our team to provide. We have arranged special birthdays, weddings , spa and Aryuveda treatments, yoga, traditional dancing and dress nights,... you name it and we can make it happen at very modest prices. Other local cultural and spiritual experiences can also be arranged to fully taste what this amazing country and its warm and polite people have to offer.

Add excitement and adventure to your beach holiday at ‘Royal Indigo Villa’ by visiting world renowned tourist attractions. You will embark on an exciting wildlife safari day tour together with a visit to an Elephant orphanage - transit home, see colonial historical and cultural sites, travel along footpaths to visit a typical Sri Lankan village - meet local farmers harvesting their lash green paddy fields, visit the village fish market to select your favorite fresh seafood for dinner, witness the rescue & conservation of Sea Turtles by local Turtle Hatcheries, visit to a nearby Buddhist Temple to experience the bliss & harmony and Colombo City Tour – a day trip to visit the largest cosmopolitan city and the commercial hub of Sri Lanka.
