Iconic and world renowned Unawatuna Beach fringed by bars and restaurants is also just a five minutes drive away.

Our Bed Rooms

All our bedrooms are air-conditioned with ceiling fans as well and have private balconies. The cooling ocean breeze can be taken advantage of from all main rooms with full cafe style teak louver doors and traditional sash windows opening as desired.

These rooms are complete with luxury furnishings and antiques alike which makes them both extremely comfortable and aesthetically pleasing as well. The beds are very comfortable with Kings in three out of four rooms and are serviced daily. All have mosquito netting although mosquitoes are rarely sighted at the Villa as they cannot compete with the sea breezes. Cots and rollaways can be supplied on request.

Your Own Chef & Authentic Sri Lankan Cuisine

The Villa is let on a bed and breakfast basis included in the tariff or you can upgrade to a full Sri Lankan breakfast at a modest cost which is highly recommended. Our resident Chef will happily prepare lunches or dinners with a day’s notice (refer to menu), and makes use of the abundant fresh seafood local produce bought daily. Snacks and drinks are available on demand at set prices. Our chef is highly talented in both Sri Lankan cuisine and western meals having also worked in Italy for several years.

Experience the delightful taste of authentic Sri Lankan cuisine prepared by our very own chef. Sri Lanka is renowned as the land of spices and has attracted travellers and traders from around the globe for centuries. The Portuguese heritage can be found in some dishes as well. These authentic spices and fresh local ingredients are at the centre of Sri Lankan cuisine. By all means try local restaurants that we can recommend but check out our past guests comments and you will be hard pressed to find better food than at “home”. We know our ingredients, including the seafood, are fresh.

Try one of our cooking class tours to the market with one of our team who will source ingredients with you, bring you back to show you how to prepare the dishes...then sit back and enjoy the delicious meal.

At Royal Indigo Villa your culinary experience is guaranteed to be a memorable part of your stay
